8 Days Backpacking in Da Nang, Vietnam

Updated: Feb 17, 2021

DANANG -HOI-AN - HUE, VIETNAM VLOG

When it comes to Backpacking, I am a bit particular I would never go back to a country where I already have been to. In Da Nang, Vietnam, I visited twice and I've never been fascinated to any ASEAN countries maybe because I am an Asian and I feel like things to see and to do in ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) are just normal for me, as I can just travel or explore more of my own country, the Philippines it would be the same, beach, mountains, people, etc. But obviously that stereotype is wrong; in Da Nang, Vietnam - it felt different. I fell in love with the Da Nang Town itself - the hospitality of people, delicious food, relaxing place, amazing beach, stunning mountains, perfect weather, peaceful nature, and it's super cheap. I didn't backpack alone, I've traveled with a Danish friend; it was one of the most amazing backpacking I had so far.

So let's start with Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam known for its sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It's a popular base for visiting the inland Ba Na hills to the west of the city.

Backpacking Vietnam is the best choice for backpackers as its super cheap cost of living and the plentiful adventures; Hotels, food, motorbike rent, tours, etc. So Here's my itinerary or 13 things to do in Da Nang, Vietnam

  • Riding a bike is the best way to explore Hoi An and its surroundings. We ensure this. You will be free to go anytime anywhere you want. You don’t need to wait for a taxi or will not be tired of the bike as for because I wasn't the one driving haha. Almost all attractions in and around Hoi An are easy to access by bike.

Vietnam is split into two regions, the north and south. If you only have less than 1 week to backpack just like us, you can focus on one region. Another way to backpack Vietnam is to combine a trip with a neighboring country like Cambodia. I would love to go back to Vietnam and try this.
